A Greener Country

120417 Truelaw Outlaw Junction A Greener Country Edition

I don't know how many times I've been to this topic, of bringing rural Australia back to a more Balanced ecological condition, but, as change has occurred in the Greens federal party, with Senatorial Statesman Bob Brown retiring, and as it's my penchant, amongst other things, like motorcycles, Aborigine Culture, smoking the Holy Herb, related to drug law reforms, the war in Afghanistan, and the general degradation of everyone's lives because of the deeply erroneous drug laws, and that today's my birthday, here we go again.

New Greens leader, Christine Milne, has told us that as a first priority for the Greens, I suggest after the poor results for them at the March 24 Who'sland state election, they will be “going bush” in an attempt to bring the rurals up-to-speed on the positives of “Living Green”.

Sound policy, no doubt.

Here are my thoughts on this.

First, having been raised in a blinkered Melbourne suburban setting, then moving to Nimbin northern NSW at 43 y/o, then, to Gympie on the northern-most fringe of Brisbane, Who'sland last year in March, and it must be included, that I went and lived like a pom in England for 3 years in the late 1970s, rural Australia is very different to those other urban lifestyles, indeed cultures I've experienced.

Being in-yer-face, as I feel it my Duty to be in what I write, Aussie Bushies are far less “polished” in their manner, although here, the Catholic schools which populate Who'sland, have shown how to be “sophisticated” at least superficially. However, let's be aware that “sophisticated” actually means “false”, “pretentious” “naive”, “full of sophistry, a Greek term for liars”, rather than the common meanings of “elegant” “refined”, “worldly” etc.

And it is obvious to those who are aware, that Catholics are all very fucking “nice” (another twisted word, also meaning “superficial”, “false”), to your face, but few of them have any hesitation in being evil bastards behind one's back. So rurals who escaped the Catholic indoctrination system can feel better about themselves in that any crudeness or unpolished aspects of their nature is closer to the natural being than the ponsy, false and insatiable churchies.

Indeed, the honest and thinking Catholics and other church schooled people I've spoken with on this topic over time, have admitted that the church schooling and religion kills one's Spirit, kills one's natural propensity to be honest and - in-yer-face. “Brave” is another word for it.

Once, Australian Bush Folk were regarded well simply because they were “in-yer-face”, and fearlessly honest, especially on political and similar issues, so they who stick to such character should not be weakened by appearing to no longer fit in to the popular, and clearly disgustingly false trends of today's culture.

Stories I have read and heard told about the brusk character traits of Australian Diggers in first world war Eurape, account for our rough and tumble Nobility, precisely for those traits, so we should do all we can to ensure they never die.

The main reason why church schooling takes the raw edge off our personalities, is so we will fit in better to the slavish, subservient, sycophantic workplace demands and environment, where we will rise through the ranks faster if we know how to suck-up to management, etc.

Look into any corporation and we'll see droves of church schoolies brown-nosing everyone for the next “tick” on their CV record-card.

Differences between city-folk and rurals abound, and make for serious divisions across this, and most all nation's body-politic and social character.

While such divisions remain, a nation has deep problems.

These splits are natural enough, considering bushies are out there getting dirt under their nails, doing what I have always regarded as “real work”, as opposed to fluffy robots sitting in offices typing, goossiping and telephoning away to earn a usually falsely earned dollar. Fluffy robots excelling in being “nice”.

Hmmpff!

Deeper into any Reforms a nation or People need, I'll end saying that we should all be living in Agrarian Socialist Communities, where we all put-in to digging the furrows, planting the crops' seeds, watering, monitoring and growing the tucker, cleaning out the barns, shearing the sheep, milking the cows, or yaks, or goats, etc., rather than our presently heinous cultural split where only some 3, 4, maybe 6 percent of us are actually farmers, while the rest of us are either located in urban environments, working-slaving-dying within inhumane workplaces, suburbs, and cultural deserts, or if not cultural deserts, utterly full-of-shit lifestyles, trends, pastimes, totally dislocated from the source of Life - food, water, fresh air, and, of course, the land, etc.

So, there should be no disgrace in living in rural regions, and getting in amongst it and doing an honest days hard yakka amongst the natural stuff.

Indeed, it should be lauded as the only Noble way to live!

Nevertheless..., were Australia to not have grown as it has, from an absolutely tragic history of convict-dumping, of genocide of the last True Peoples of Earth - the Aborigine - and the ensuing lies-lies-lies that the religious and oligarchic establishment have forced down our throats of ignoring that, and the ongoing disregard for the poorest of immigrants and of the True Fella-Bleck Fella, then of the rude-nay-evil mal-distribution of the peoples, white and Black on the land, the earlier mentioned divisions of city-v-rural might not be so hard to overcome. Indeed, were the travesties to not have happened, it's as likely we would not have become so divided at all.

So we have to look for some “happy-medium”, where both aspects of the now irreversible trends, cultures, are enabled to co-exist, such that they for once, compliment each other.

For the Greens then, as they have become part of the government, they should, I feel, begin by showing, and actually giving the rurals the lift they need, so they can actually be more on a par with the less-roughish city-ites.

This has to be through education.

However, as it's easy to see, I'm not for more church shit.

As the federal Education Minister Peter Garrett and his department are well aware, all our disparities have their seeds in that exclusivist separation between government and church schooling.

So Greens, and Labor, in Canberra, have to increase funding immensely for rural government schools, so the otherwise “left-behind” kids from poorer communities have at least a chance of enjoying the finer things of life, afforded by the higher classes.

This, mainly caused by poor families having to employ their kids as early as possible on the farm, or out in the community-workforce, simply to keep a roof over their heads, and food, let alone healthy food, on the table, etc., therefore demands that things have to be corrected for the whole family. And educating the kids alone, is too long term to resolve that.

So a whole of, not just family, but Community approach has to be instituted. This, not only applies across rural regions, but in the poorer suburbs as well, for the same pressures exist there too.

It is by no coincidence that the root of these, and most all family and social woes is never addressed, in-yer-face, by most any of the mainstream news or current affairs on our very controlled elite media networks. Why? OH! They're all churchies!!!

Land distribution.

Poor communities and ghettos are created precisely because of this dark mal-distribution design.

Rural communities, idiots and Wiser alike, rightly bitch about their dying townships and villages, and the idiots take glee in shooting the blame at the more left-wing, that-is, more Socialist-orientated federal Labor-Greens-Independents government.

But they are never heard to shout about the rude disparity caused by the extreme, indeed extremist-cum-terrorist corporations who buy up the falling-priced land, and reduce the local workforces by introducing abominable, unsustainable broad-acre crops or the lazy-arse cattle mass-production cultures, with their huge machines which send masses of farm workers to unemployment queues, away from their families, friends, homelands, and communities to scrape and scavenge “a life” in the cities.

Clearly, like the sponsored roar that arose when the ALP-Greens-Independents federal government tried with all Honor and Sincerity to bring the most Just changes to mining and land taxes, those who pseudo-protest when rural communities die are but puppets of their callous paymasters, like mining's Clive Palmer, Gina Rinehart, Andrew Forrester, et al.

Fucking idiots, who all need to take a good hard look at themselves, and the upemselves cults they have joined.

Putting life back into rural communities requires the People are given control of their country.

And country and communities do not exist, grow or survive without a sound basis of supply, in food, water, resources, education and the opportunities to lift their own souls up to the finer things and sensations.

These have their genesis in culture, and as Aborigine knew from Big Bang times (hyuk!), there are patterns of living that can be found and established as best for everyone and for every Tribe, Community, and nation.

One name for these is “LAW”.

Always, no matter how much we do science to figure it out, these are when we work with the natural environment.

Corporate farming and other ventures are as far from that as possible. So if any rural wants to improve or restore their locality, they have to get back to the fundamental rules of survival.

As ALP minister for water or such, Tony Burke said, on ABC's Q&A last week, “we'll never again live in a natural environment, so we have to learn how best to meld the two - nature, and us - in such ways as to benefit both.” (paraphrased)

Over the last decade there's been all manner of debate and dispute about how many people can live sustainably on our soils.

The generally winning consensus seemed to end saying we should really only have 10-to-15 million people here.

Bullshit!

The key word is sustainably. As we are, yes we cannot keep increasing population.

But if we learn how to live Honorably, that-is Honestly, we will accept the scientific evidence, and take-on Greener policies, city and country.

But as the cities are drowning in insanity, driven by CRAPitalist and religious warmongering and it's aid-de-compt technology, perhaps our best hope, also as it is the larger land-mass, is to bring the rural populations up to speed on the issues, policies, and culture necessary to Rebalance things, life, and the universe, etc?

Therefore, Greens of Who'sland, while sadly most are from the Catholic indoctrination system, from the idle wealthy who take it as a given that they send the sprogs to private schooling, thus creating a character-rift between rural and their “classes”, which makes it hard for the down-to-earth, in-yer-face, unsophisticated lower-class rurals to accept their tone, and to learn from them, Greens have to push hard for massive increases in educative relief for the forgotten rural peoples, which has to include cheaper, more honest access to housing and housing security.

Greens and ALP, have to re-popularise the concept that some land at least has to be removed from the speculative land market for housing and local industry, be-it the local shops or small farms.

Not more fucking hobby cattle farms, but farms which employ locals while including education on farming techniques, the “3-Rs”, and other allied pursuits, as well as throwing in arts and recreational pastimes which elevate the souls of the workers.

If we look across our societies, we see that most who are educated enough to venture into running their own business, small or larger, have been given the lessons on things like accounting, marketing, organisation, and efficiency, etc.

Banks who finance their ventures look warmly on them when they show they've had a church education.

This is quite disgusting. So all schools have to teach the tools for kids to know what they need to make a buck outside of the employee shithole, so they can confidently, and securely go forth and multiply.

However, as said, never is the rudest factor making rural communities die addressed, the same rude fact which kills honesty in people, when it comes to earning a living, and that is the unregulated land price market.

With uncertain land prices, and the concomitant ever-rising food prices, utilities, council rates etc, and therefore the need for wages to always increase, people can never feel secure, no matter where they are.

If land prices, thus other costs were stabilised, people would not need to forever-seek higher wages.

With this, they could then know they were secure by working on such as farms, growing their own tucker, with excess going to market.

Also, the psychological stresses which most have not the space to resolve - and most of these stresses are falsely imposed precisely by this unrealistic land-hunt, this never-ending land-war, and so they can not be resolved, are essentially behind our mental troubles, which combine to make it nigh-on impossible for people to live in close-knit communities, such as communal farms, et al.

These flaws in our psyches are not personal failings, they are cultural.

Therefore as soon as we resolve the cultural fuck-ups, we dispel the personal intolerances, and will find that we can live in shared situations, where we do no longer need our very own private dunny, or kitchen or living/loungerooms or such.

Unfortunately, I reckon most Greens know this. But as the more involved of them are, as said, from the upper, church classes, one understandably, they do not want to risk the establishment, in the church school board, who monitor all their ex-students after-schooling behaviour closely, coming down on them and sending them to the eternal sinbin, where they find they are suddenly and without explanation, marginalised, out of a job, friends and even housing, and two, they are obliged to remain loyal to their religious cult.

And, all our western religious cults profit disgustingly from the very same, most sinful, land speculation market. So, few of them are at all interested in any Genuine cultural corrections. In a word, they're all as corrupt as they could be.

The best way through this crap, is for the lower classes to become involved in the processes of both change and of government, toward the Honorable ways of living. The Green ways of living.

On that word..., be aware that negative feelings we have for such as the Greens, are most often made negative because some slippery-tongued charlatan has said it in such a way as to cast a spell on our thinking, so whenever we hear it again, we react negatively, without thinking any of the evidence, or the logic or the science through, to see the best sides of being GREEN. GREEN. GREENGREENGREEN!! (Hyuk!)

The churchies in such as the Left-wing political movements and the Green organisations are Sincere, Intelligent and Genuine, but cannot reach across that divide both because the less-refined, less-educated have their own personal issues of accepting the ponsy or higher language skills, etc, of the churchies, and find it hard to even converse with them, and because the churchies are hesitant to try to connect, for fear that they'll be stomped or mocked.

Clearly, we are all dysfunctional to some extent. But we have to get beyond that, and remember all the way through, that it is a culturally imposed dysfunction and thus, division, not any real failings or incurable differences in our own being.

On that, it's usually the case that the occasional meeting between such differing groups is a slow way to grow closer in personality and acceptance.

So I'd advocate that anyone who has the land, and the want to make things better, and who has the ability to arrange, such as with the local council, the necessary “permits” etc, to establish a teaching farm, or similar, to get off ya fatcells and start a process so that an invited combination of all types who are interested, can come to and “camp” on site, for minimums of say, 2 weeks at a time, as often as possible, with the intention of starting a small farming community.

It would be best well enough away from any “drones” of urban or highway noise, etc, and with enough water supply etc, to sustain an ongoing development, of say 10, then 20, then 40 people.

Everyone has some skills.

Rurals have somethings to teach the teachers, when it comes to the real work - fencing, dam-building, mechanics, etc., and it's important that everyone feels they have something to contribute.

So, in terms of government policy, and regarding the Greens getting out there and engaging with rural Australia, these aspects of going about it would, I believe, be welcomed by the bush folk.

The best way to get to unnerstand other people, is to be living in close-quarters with them, for this type of long-stay.

Arguments are most always “failures to communicate”. That, and differing secrets we all have, in the mainstream bullshit world, to keep.

With no stresses, like we find in “normal” fucked-up society, without the insecurities of mortgage or income or supply to keep us on the boil, with the knowledge that we all have the same desires, of making things better, and ourselves better, as well as, of course, happier, spending Occ Health & Safety requirements catered-for time together learning, helping, and getting dirty in the fields, etc, shoulder-to-shoulder, brings people through their own maladies, breaks bullshit cultural barriers down to dust, lifts our self-worth, and creates community bonds very hard to break.

A bit of rock-and-roll, and then a string quartet each month, rounds it off luvely, Cobbers!

So...,

Lastly, back in the unreality of Canberra, the mantra we are sick of, though must lust after, is “jobs-jobs-jobs”.

All parties rightly also say that we have to lift our dying “productivity”, and the emphasis is on manufacturing.

Well, most manufacturing today is of superfluous junk, both designed with planned obsolescence in it, and for superficial purposes.

Whether it's motorcars for our credit account or toys for the ruggies, plastic crap for the loungerooms or gardens, or ANOTHER stupidfone, in the end, they both crap-out too soon, or we move-on to the next fad.

No-one talks about clothing, footwear, etc., or food production as being underlying essential products we should be manufacturing.

The best shoes (and motorbike boots) I ever bought were made by blokes in their own shops.

But that's beside the point, outside of the fact that those types of makers go out of business because of one, imports from slaves in China etc, and two, because the rent or mortgage on their shop becomes too high to afford.

Again, land speculation and mal-distribution fucking us all over.

But, my last point is that the government and all parties (HA!) should be talking “more productive” food and essential materials farming, not plastic-fantastic crap we abuse and discard once the warranty or resale value dies.

Greens, with such as the above policies and educational avenues made going concerns for rural Australia, cannot help but win support and votes out there, where the Real People live.
