leader is ascendant in the opinion polls, but many voters are still
unsure about what he stands for in the absence of clear policy
directions and seemingly contradictory positions

Both 'sides' are merely dragging us
toward a global disaster, keeping the church supplicants comfortable
until things finally fall-over, big time.
Neither, nor any of the current
parties, and Indies, et al, are near to arguing for the policies the
species will need for the next 100 years, and beyond.
The Greens, with various 'similar'
political class protection ideals, are obviously the closest we now
have to Rightminded policies.
But the lot of us, or around 75-to-95%
of us in Australia, are light years away from braving the new world,
voting down bullshit politics, including Shorten, and the ALP, and
getting our facts and lives right, for inevitable hard times to come.
We may hope that next-gen voters, if
voting still exists, will be tougher and less tolerant of soft headed
delusional politrix?
As a CIA man, of some 37 years
experience, Professor Michael Sheuer, in an interview to a US
investigation, said, "We have to get rid of 'democracy'!"
[paraphrased] among other astute and accurate things. One being,
that "...we [the USA] should dump Israel immediately!"
But, the west, the world's upper class,
is lost to it's own self-absorbed egomania, and because of our
addictions, most of us are incapable of letting go the detritus of
bad beliefs and cultures.
Shorten, like Abbott, will not go near
correcting the many errors of our economics, politics and whiteguy
culture.
